LA PREGUNTA ASOMBROSA (Lucas 18:35-43)

En Marcos las primeras palabras de Jesús hacia las personas eran “arrepiéntanse”. Esto significa cambiar toda nuestra manera de pensar debido a que los caminos de Dios son muy diferentes a los nuestros. Necesitamos un nuevo entendimiento de la vida con Dios y lo que Él puede hacer en nuestras vidas. Las siguientes palabras de Jesús fueron: “Síganme y les haré pescadores de hombres”. Cada discípulo de Jesús es llamado a vivir este doble llamado de Seguir a Jesús y pescar hombres. Animémonos los unos a los otros a arrepentirnos continuamente, seguir y pescar.

Un par de semanas antes de la muerte de Jesús, Él y sus seguidores estaban en una ciudad llamada Jericó. Cuando emprendieron el viaje de 24 kilómetros por la montaña hacia Jerusalén, un hombre ciego llamó a Jesús tratando de obtener su atención. El pasaje de Lucas 18:35-43 nos dice lo que sucedió después.

Jesús tiene una gran compasión por las personas! Él hizo al ciego una pregunta asombrosa, “¿Qué quieres que haga por ti?”. Luego el suplió la necesidad del hombre. Como seguidores de Jesús debemos tomar la iniciativa de mostrar compasión a las personas en el poder del Espíritu Santo, al hacerles la misma pregunta asombrosa y suplir sus necesidades de maneras prácticas.
